Do I need a UK guarantor to book?
No. Unlike the UK private rental market, which usually requires a UK-based guarantor, student residences let you book by paying upfront or in instalments with no guarantor at all. It's one of the biggest advantages for international students.
What does the price include?
All the essentials: wifi, water, electricity and heating, plus the building's communal areas (gym, study rooms, cinema or laundry depending on the residence). No separate bills, no service charges.
When does the academic year start and when should I book?
The 2026/27 academic year starts in September. Standard tenancies run 44 weeks (September to July) or 51 weeks (full year), and rooms sell out between spring and late summer — the earlier you book, the more studio types you'll have to choose from.
