The Leganés campus of UC3M houses the Escuela Politécnica Superior: Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, Biomedical, Computer, Telecommunications and Energy Engineering, with laboratories, library, sports centre and an adjoining science park. The university stands out for its employability, its bilingual degrees and a very large international community, with thousands of exchange students every year. The campus is on Avenida de la Universidad, next to the Cercanías station and ten minutes on foot from the town centre.
To live next to campus, the Centro and San Nicasio are the natural choice: student flats, supermarkets, the station and the metro close by. Zarzaquemada, ten minutes away, is the district with the most shared flats and the best prices. El Carrascal and Leganés Norte, next to Parquesur, offer newer, quieter flats one Metrosur stop away.
