Bilbao reinvented itself with the Guggenheim and is now a compact, very walkable university city: the UPV/EHU and Deusto are a stroll from the centre, and the metro puts the Leioa campus half an hour away. Our residences are next to San Mamés and in Abando, the two best-connected areas in town, with the engineering school five minutes on foot and the Casco Viejo for everything else.
