Universidad Pablo de Olavide is Seville's young university, with a single, compact campus in the Anglo-American style where all its faculties, halls of residence and sports facilities come together. On Lupo Rooms you'll find rooms verified one by one near the campus or well connected to it, available all year round, with transparent contracts and no agency fees.
Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) was founded in 1997 and has made a name for itself in law, social sciences, biotechnology and sports sciences, as well as being very popular with international students. Everything happens on its Montequinto campus, to the southeast of Seville: faculties, library, sports facilities and green areas in a single precinct, with its own metro stop (line 1) linking it to the city centre in about twenty minutes.
To study at the UPO you have two strategies. Living in Montequinto, the neighbourhood right next to the campus, is the cheapest and most practical option: a quiet atmosphere with the campus a step away. The other is living in Seville itself along metro line 1: San Bernardo, Nervion or the area around Prado de San Sebastian put the metro at your door and combine university with all the life of the city. Triana or the Alameda also work if you don't mind adding a few minutes to the commute.
Living near the UPO is affordable: in Montequinto a room usually sits at the lower end of the 250-450 euros a month paid in Seville, and in the city it depends on the neighbourhood. Add some 180-250 euros for food and very cheap transport: the youth pass brings the metro and bus down to very little per month. Sharing a flat in Montequinto or along line 1 is the cheapest formula for UPO students.
Getting to the UPO is simple: metro line 1 has its own stop on campus and links it with San Bernardo and the centre of Seville in about twenty minutes, with good frequencies during term time. Intercity buses and the bike lanes reaching Montequinto round out the options. If you live in the city, any area near a line 1 stop puts the campus one direct, cheap ride away.
