Sharing a flat is the most common and affordable way to live in Malaga as a student. Splitting rent and bills makes the month much cheaper, and with the metro and EMT buses you reach campus from almost any district in the city.
In Malaga, shared flats are plentiful in Teatinos, where nearly the whole neighbourhood is students, and in El Ejido and La Trinidad, next to the centre and the second campus. The historic centre has flats with plenty of atmosphere but higher prices, while Carretera de Cádiz, Huelin or Cruz de Humilladero are better value with a direct metro. A room runs around 350-500 euros a month depending on the area.
