Die Universidad de Deusto vereint in Bilbao die Fakultäten für Jura, Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften, Psychologie und Bildung, Ingenieurwesen sowie die Deusto Business School, ihre Wirtschaftshochschule in der Tradition der alten La Comercial. Der Campus umfasst das historische Gebäude von 1886 und die modernen Pavillons an der Uferpromenade, mit einer bis spät geöffneten Bibliothek, und liegt direkt an der Zubizuri-Brücke und am Guggenheim. Es ist eine mittelgroße Universität mit vielen zweisprachigen Studiengängen.
Deusto und San Ignacio sind die naheliegenden Viertel: Der Campus liegt gleich hinter der Brücke, und entlang der Avenida Lehendakari Aguirre reihen sich Studentenwohnungen. Abando und das Ensanche jenseits der Ría bringen dich in zehn Gehminuten ins Zentrum und zum Bahnhof. Indautxu ist die zentralste und teuerste Option, während Santutxu, Txurdinaga, Basurto und Zorroza deutlich günstiger und eine Viertelstunde mit der Metro entfernt sind.
In der Nähe von Deusto zu wohnen kostet zwischen 350 und 500 Euro im Monat für ein WG-Zimmer, in San Ignacio oder Zorroza etwas weniger als im Ensanche. Ein Platz im Studentenwohnheim liegt je nach Zimmertyp und Leistungen zwischen 550 und 950 Euro. Mit Essen, Verkehr und Freizeit kommt man als Studierende mit etwa 800-1.000 Euro im Monat aus.
Der Campus hat eine eigene Metrostation, Deusto, und die Euskotren-Straßenbahn hält neben dem Guggenheim, fünf Gehminuten entfernt. Von Deusto erreicht die Linie 1 Leioa in einer Viertelstunde, praktisch, wenn du auch Kurse an der UPV/EHU belegst; in die andere Richtung liegen Altstadt und Abando zwei Stationen entfernt. Bilbobus bedient die Hangviertel, Bizkaibus die ganze Provinz.
